Need a few extra bucks this summer? I certainly do. With so many concerts, potential road trips, and other summery items on my wish list over the next couple months, it’s pretty clear that I probably should look for ways to earn some more cash.

Fortunately, summertime offers the perfect opportunity to gain some supplemental income: lawn care. This could include mowing lawns, gardening, weed eating, mulching…you name it. People always have yard work to be done, and many of them often don’t want to have to do it themselves.

If you’re younger, like spending time outside, and don’t mind getting a little sweaty, this is a perfect way to make some quick money. People are often willing to pay well for this type of work, and there is certainly no shortage of it. Plus, even if you’re just mowing lawns, they’re still going to need you to do it all summer long. If you find just three or four different people who need their lawns mowed for the summer, that’s a pretty significant extra monthly income that you can use for all of your fun summer plans.

Just remember that you may need some of your own supplies for these jobs. Chances are you’ll have to haul your own mower, or bring your own gardening supplies. However, this is only a small detraction to what could be a well-paying gig to add to a few of your summer evenings or weekends.
