President/CEO

The big cheese, the big kahuna, the head honcho, the top dog… for the most part anyway. You still have to answer to the credit union’s board of directors who are elected from the credit union membership; they’re your real boss. In fact, your job as President/CEO involves being able to plan, direct, and control all credit union activities in accordance with the plans, policies, and directives established by the credit union’s board of directors. You’ll also be responsible for making sure the credit union is financial stable and the member’s remain satisfied. Being the President/CEO is a balancing act between making decisions that are within the best interest of the members, as well as the employees, and the credit union itself. Yep, being the President/CEO of a credit union takes a lot of hard work. But if you’re looking to offer strategic direction, vision, and leadership to an organization then becoming a President/CEO of a credit union is a goal you need to place on your life’s to-do list.
