I’m one of the folks behind the whole MoneyMix site. To me, it’s more than just part of my job... it’s a chance to do something meaningful on two fronts I’m passionate about; my generation and credit unions. Why? Because our generation has a lot of important issues to address, and personal finance is one of them. I love credit unions because they’re not-for-profit, they’re co-ops, and they look out for their members instead of lining the pockets of a select group of stock holders. Oh, and I play in a few baseball leagues in the summer, like the color blue, and enjoy long walks on the beach.

Why did you start blogging?
Well, I’ve blogged on several sites here and there for the past few years... mostly because I like to share an opinion or a story and read what other people think about it.

What do you think is the most important personal finance issue for our generation?
In general, the most important personal finance issue is learning how to manage our cash so that we can pay our bills, not get into serious debt problems, and save for the future AND save for fun things too. Managing our money is incredibly important... doing it well empowers us to live out our dreams, constantly mismanaging our money causes stress and can dash our hopes for a good life.

What do you do in your free time?
Hang out with my best friends... my girlfriend Sarah and my buddy Rob.

What are your personal financial goals?
In the next year or two I want to buy a house, pay off my student loans, and learn more about the best places to put any extra cash that comes my way. For the long-term, I want to be able to retire comfortably, support my family, and help out others when they need me.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why
The Philippines, Vietnam, India, Machu Picchu in Peru, Egypt. These areas fascinate me, from their culture to their history.
